A video showing a delivery driver performing a “ninja” maneuver to stop his car from being towed is leaving internet users completely amazed.

The clip, which appears to have been recorded by a home security camera, shows a man stopping his car to make a delivery. Probably expecting it to be a quick drop-off, he even left the driver’s door open.

He then walks calmly to the customer’s door when, suddenly, a white tow truck appears in the background, parking in front of the delivery driver’s car to tow it away.

But as soon as the tow truck driver engages reverse to hook the car, the delivery driver realizes what is happening and runs back to his vehicle. With the door open, he shifts into reverse and manages to escape the tow in just a few seconds.

The video quickly amassed thousands of views, but many viewers were convinced that it wasn’t just a tow. “That wasn’t a tow truck; it was someone trying to steal his car,” one user commented.

This is because, in cases of repossession for nonpayment, for example, drivers are required to check the VIN (vehicle identification number) before proceeding with the tow, something the driver in the video does not appear to have done.
